Book: So You Call Yourself a Man
Author: Carl Weber

This novel begins by introducing the reader to the three main characters in their own respective chapters. James Robinson is a married man with two children who’s just now getting his marriage back on track when some unexpected issues arise and he has to deal with his new 3-year old son whom he had no idea existed, keeping this from his wife becomes his angst. Brent Williams is James’s best friend and a nice piece of eye candy. He can definitely be a ladies’ man if he wanted to, but he seems to be committed to church-going Allison, until someone else catches his eye, and then there is Sonny Harrison who’s friends with both James and Brent. Sonny is trying to move back to New York from Seattle. Ironically, he gets a great job offer in NY, and when he goes back to get his family, he finds that they’ve left him. With his wife and children gone without any warning, Sonny struggles trying to put his life back together with the help of his high school sweetheart, Tiffany. When Sonny starts to get a little too possessive things go down hill fast.

Bank It!
This book kept me interested from beginning to end. Although there were some parts where I could have benefited from a little more plot and character development, overall this book was great. It had so many twists and turns, right up until the very end of the book. After I read the book, my mouth hung open in shock! Weber really weaved an interesting, well-thought out story. I loved the way he kept some of the characters ambiguous. This is the first time I read a book where I actually flipped back through the pages to see if I had missed hints to those curveballs Weber threw. This book is definitely a must read. It will have you questioning the men in your life, asking them matter-of-factly, “So you call yourself a man?”
